# Storage, Backup, Permissions

> Storage, Veeam B&R and NTFS Security – which types these scan modules create and how their detail pages are structured.

## Storage

The *Storage* scan creates two types: *Storage Hardware* — the storage
system with its cages, controllers and disks — and, below it, *Storage
Volume* with CPG assignment, properties and the VLUNs through which it is
assigned to hosts.

## Veeam B\&R

The *Veeam B\&R* scan creates one type with seven groups: General, Server
Configuration (licensing, server settings, users and roles), Backup
Infrastructure (proxies, repositories, WAN accelerators), Tape Infrastructure,
Inventory, Backup & Replication (jobs, backups, replicas) and Recovery.

  This type's group and area names stand untranslated in English in the view
  definition — even on the German interface.

## NTFS Security

The *NTFS Security* type is created by the scan module of the same name, but
carries no view of its own. It is covered in more detail under
[Directory and Network Services](/docs/en/assets/directory-services); you evaluate
the permission structure itself in
