# Welcome to Docusnap365

> Your account is set up. Three ways to start.

As part of provisioning, your access and your Docusnap365 environment were set
up. You have created your organization and its first site — Docusnap365 is
ready to use. Nothing needs to be installed in the browser. To scan your
network, you later install the **Docusnap Enterprise Gateway** on a server; the
path *Scan the network* takes you there.

## Three starting points

The three starting points are independent of each other.

    Create an asset by hand and add its ITAM data. Shows the workflow on one

    captured.
  </Card>

    no scan required.

## Which start fits

<CardGroup cols={1}>

    Start with **Create an asset**.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Know what is in your network" icon="radar">
    Connect the **gateway**. From then on every evaluation works on captured
    data instead of a maintained list – the difference between "we believe" and
    "we know".
  </Card>

  <Card title="Prove NIS-2 or ISO 27001 compliance" icon="shield-check">
    Start with **Assess NIS-2**. After activation, the applicable requirements
    and the open gaps are listed.
  </Card>

## The areas of the application

| Area | For |
| - | - |
| **Tasks** | what there is to do |
| **Scan** | automated inventory – gateways, scan jobs and their results |
| **Assets** | the captured inventory, its relationships and objects you create yourself |
| **Analysis** | vulnerabilities and permissions |
| **ITAM** | responsibility, lifecycle, warranties and costs |
| **ISMS** | risks, controls and the evidence you owe standards and laws |
| **Docs** | documents that fill themselves from the inventory; controlled where needed, with approval and version history |
| **Plans** | topology, IP networks and IP segments as a plan |
| **Insights** | ready-made and custom evaluations |

<Tip>
  Before the first scan, create organizations, sites, domains and platforms
  under *Settings › Environment Data*. These four values filter the entire
  inventory.
