# AI Connections

> Connect Docusnap365 to Claude or another MCP-capable AI tool and check the usage of API & MCP requests.

Under *Administration › AI Connections*, you connect Docusnap365 to an
MCP-capable AI tool. The AI tool works with the signed-in user's role and
permissions; every change is attributed to that user.

Like all of *Administration*, the page opens only for the *Owner* and
*Administrator* roles.

## Connecting

*Instructions in the help* opens the page [MCP—Basics](/docs/en/api/mcp.md) in a new
tab.

### Claude

*Open in Directory* opens the Docusnap365 entry in Claude's directory in a new
tab. There, you add Docusnap365 and sign in with your Docusnap365 account.

### Other MCP Tool

For any other MCP-capable AI tool, *Address* shows the address you enter in
the AI tool. The button next to it copies the address to the clipboard. In the
AI tool, add an MCP connector and paste the address. No API key—you sign in
with your Docusnap365 account.

## API & MCP Requests

The *API & MCP Requests* section shows how much of the quota is used. The REST
API and MCP share this quota; every tool call from an AI tool counts as one
request. A purchased share appears as a separate *Purchased* block with its own
usage.

*To Subscription* opens [Subscription and Invoices](/docs/en/settings/subscription.md).
There, you see all usage limits and buy more requests.

## Related

Which tools an AI tool uses over MCP and what it may do with them is described
under [MCP—Basics](/docs/en/api/mcp.md). Keys for access through the REST API are
managed under [Manage API Keys](/docs/en/settings/api-access.md).
