# Appearance & Language

> Set color scheme, language, regional format and time zone for your own user.

<Note>
  *Appearance & Language* has no *Save* button: every selection is saved
  immediately and takes effect once Docusnap365 has confirmed the save. If the
  save fails, the selection returns to the saved state. On
  [Personal Data](/docs/en/settings/profile), by contrast, only *Save* adopts a
  change.

## Color Scheme

| Color scheme | Description |
| - | - |
| *Light* | *Standard* |
| *Dark* | *Charcoal* |
| *Navy Blue* | *Navy* |
| *High Contrast* | *WCAG AAA* |

The selected color scheme applies across the whole application, for your
user.

## Language & Format

The three mandatory fields take effect independently of one another:

| Field | Effect |
| - | - |
| *Language* | the language of the interface — *German* or *English* |
| *Regional Format* | how numbers and dates are written |
| *Time Zone* | which zone time stamps refer to |

<Tip>
  Language and regional format are independent: you can put the interface into
  *English* and still keep German number and date formats.
</Tip>

Time zones are sorted by place name, not by UTC offset. As you type, the list
filters by place name or by offset, for example "UTC+01:00".
