# Personal Data

> Manage name and profile picture.

Personal Data, Security, Appearance & Language and Notifications sit under
*Profile Settings* in the header's user flyout and apply to exactly one user.
Tenant-wide settings sit under *Settings* behind the gear icon instead.

## Name

*First Name* and *Last Name* are mandatory fields; *Save* stays disabled as
long as either field is empty.

<Note>
  The name and initials in the page header show the saved state, not the input
  fields. They change only after you click *Save*.
</Note>

The *Email* field is locked: the address serves as the sign-in and cannot be
changed here.

<Note>
  Leaving the page with an unsaved name change makes Docusnap365 ask whether to
  discard the input — reloading the page or switching the subscription does
  too.
</Note>

## Profile Picture

Without a saved profile picture, the page header and the *Profile Picture*
dialog show the initials of first and last name.

Permitted are PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF and WEBP up to 100 KB. SVG is excluded,
because it can contain executable code.

<Tip>
  100 KB rarely fits an unedited camera photo. Scale the picture down to
  profile-picture size beforehand.
</Tip>

<Note>
  Choosing a new picture while one is already saved shows two buttons side by
  side: *Discard Selection* only takes back the new, not yet saved choice;
  *Delete* removes the saved picture — regardless of what the preview currently
  shows.
</Note>

*Save* adopts a newly chosen picture immediately; it then appears everywhere
in Docusnap365, including places where the old picture was already loaded. A
picture change does not trigger the confirmation on leaving the page.
