For an already registered Docusnap Enterprise Gateway you see its state, its configuration and the diagnostic data it reports to Docusnap365. Setting up a new gateway is described in Installing and Registering the Gateway.

Reading the overview

Scan › Gateways lists every registered gateway with a badge for its state: Every job is bound to exactly one gateway.
An Offline gateway can no longer be controlled from the job detail: Stop, Pause, Resume and Run Now disappear, leaving only Edit and Delete. Check the gateway first in that case, before looking for the cause on the job — see Managing Jobs.
If no gateway is connected at all, Docusnap365 points this out on every scan page and walks you through the setup first when you create a job.

Viewing the details

General

Six read-only values: Registered on, Last update, Platform, Organization, Location and Support Mode.
Last update names the time Docusnap365 last fetched data from the gateway — not the time a connection last existed. A gateway can be connected without this value having just changed.

IP ranges

The table records which address ranges belong to this gateway: First IP address, Last IP address and a description per row. Creating, editing and deleting take effect immediately, with no separate save step. A CSV import is available for many ranges at once; it only takes over rows with a valid first and last IP address and reports how many ranges were actually added.

Logging and Support

A pencil at Logging or a click on the Support Mode switch opens the same edit mode for both areas; only the fields you actually change are saved.
  • Log Level — Information, Warning, Error, Debug or None
  • Size per file and Number of files — together a rotation: once the size is reached, a new file begins; once the number of files is reached, the oldest one is overwritten
  • Support Mode — lets Docusnap support access this gateway remotely to diagnose faults and stays on until you switch it off again here
Changing the unit at Size per file does not recalculate the number entered: 10 set to Bytes, switched to MB, becomes 10 MB — not 0.00001 MB. Set the unit first, then enter the number.
Set Debug only for the duration of troubleshooting and reset it afterwards — the level applies to everything this gateway logs for as long as it is set.

Diagnostics

The Diagnostics tab shows two tables: Log (Time, Level, Message) and Loaded Assemblies & Plugins with version, status and the time of the last update. How the data comes about depends on the state: if the gateway is Online, Docusnap365 requests the newest error and warning entries plus the plugin list freshly; if it is Offline, you only see what was cached last.
The search field above the log filters across every column, including the level text — a search for Warning works too. Download writes exactly the filtered rows to a file; filter first, then download.
The complete set together with the state data is delivered only by the export in the Docusnap Enterprise Gateway on its machine, see Reviewing and Exporting Logs.

Restarting the gateway

Next to the header menu on the detail page you restart the gateway service — possible only for an Online gateway.
A restart aborts every job running on this gateway. If something is currently running, the confirmation names the number of jobs affected.

Deregistering or deleting the gateway

The header menu carries one of two entries depending on the state: Deregister Gateway for an Online gateway, Delete Gateway for an Offline one. Both detach the gateway from the tenant the same way.
After both actions the local vault entries and the jobs of this gateway are no longer available. To keep the configuration of the jobs, pause them instead through Managing Jobs and leave the gateway in place. Check beforehand in the job lists which jobs hang on this gateway.
Once the gateway is connected, create the first job.
