Three scan modules capture databases. Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL Server split server and database into separate assets; Oracle does not — there the database is the asset, with cluster and storage structure hanging off it.
All three scans carry the column Capture Object Details per target, switched off by default — see the Scan Reference.

Microsoft SQL Server

Two types: the SQL Server Instance and the individual SQL Server Database.

MySQL and MariaDB

One module, four types: a server and a database type each for MySQL and for MariaDB, in parallel — all four additionally with an empty General group; the data sits in the second group, Database Details. MariaDB carries two additional areas compared with MySQL: Roles on the server, Sequences on the database.

Oracle Database

One type with five groups: Credentials and module settings for these three scan modules are in the Scan Reference. How a database server connects to the host it runs on is recorded under Relations. How these systems are virtualized is described under Virtualization.
