You create relationships from an asset’s Relations tab or directly in the Relation Map. Both paths use the same form. If you can only read in this area, you see neither Link nor Adjust in the relation map.

Creating from the tab

Link, the button with the chain icon above the table, opens the Add Relations dialog. You choose one or more Targets, then the Relation Type. Multiple targets of the same type form a group — the Relation Type applies per group, not per individual target.
If Docusnap365 determines the relation type for this source/target pair automatically, the Relation Type field is disabled and reads “Determined automatically” — you choose nothing, the type is created on save. If no rule applies, you choose the type yourself; the field is then required.
Along with that, the Critical flag and an optional description. Save stays disabled until all required fields are filled — a tooltip on the button names what is missing.
The same relationship between the same two records cannot be created twice — the dialog reports “This relation already exists.”

Relation objects

At each target row in the dialog, an icon (Add relation object) opens the On the Relation dialog, where you assign relation objects to the relationship itself. For each relation object you set its own relation type, its own Critical flag, and its own description. The dialog groups the relation objects by type; Critical in a group header sets the flag for every relation object in that group. The trash icon on a relation object removes it without confirmation, together with its relation type and description. There is no action that removes all of them at once. The change is saved only together with the relationship itself.

Changing and deleting

A row in the Defined Relations zone leads to the counterpart, the linked target, not to the relationship. To edit the relationship itself, use the pencil icon or choose Edit from the row menu; Delete is available there as well. In the Detected Relations zone, clicking a row likewise opens the linked target — those relationships cannot be edited.
Only relationships you created yourself carry a checkbox. Select several and delete them together through the bar that appears — the counterparts themselves stay intact. Each selected relationship is deleted individually; if one fails, the rest still go through, and a message afterward reports how many could not be processed.

In the relation map

Relation Map opens an asset’s relationships as a diagram. In Adjust mode, clicking a node in the plan opens the same panel as the tab: from there you create new relationships to that node, change existing ones, or delete them.
After creating a relationship the panel stays open, and the new target becomes the next source — this lets you build up several relationships in a row without reopening the panel each time.
Automatically detected relationships cannot be edited or deleted in the relation map either.
If several relationships of the same kind hang off a node, the plan collapses them into a single entry with their count, instead of drawing each as its own line. To change or delete such a bundled relationship, open that entry first — it lists the contained relationships individually.
Under Display, Group similar objects turns the bundling off. Relation type on the line writes the relation type on every line, including the line to a bundled entry; there it is the only place the type appears. The Preset button saves the current exploration — which nodes are expanded and in which order. The preset applies per source object; switching to a different source object resets the view to defaults. A target that does not yet exist can be created directly from the panel, without leaving the plan. Relationships explains what a relationship is and where it comes from.
