IT Structure and Documentation Needs at ABT Sportsline
ABT Sportsline GmbH operates in the premium and motorsport sector and stands for technical precision and high quality standards. These requirements apply not only to products but also to internal processes and structures. The IT infrastructure spans three buildings and comprises approximately 180 clients and users. The IT department is managed by Armin Peuker, IT Manager at ABT Sportsline, supported by two additional colleagues.
TISAX Requirements and Lack of IT Documentation
In the course of pursuing TISAX certification, it became clear that a key prerequisite had not yet been met: up-to-date, traceable, and reliable IT documentation available at all times. A comprehensive overview of the network and system landscape did not exist. Required information had to be gathered manually, which consumed considerable time during day-to-day IT operations and posed a significant risk in audit or review situations.
TISAX demands a high level of transparency regarding IT structures. In addition to the currency of the documentation, the traceability of system dependencies, clear responsibilities, and information about access rights play a central role. Without a suitable tool, meeting these requirements in daily IT operations was only possible with considerable manual effort.
Decision in Favor of Automated IT Documentation with Docusnap
ABT Sportsline therefore sought a solution that would significantly reduce the documentation effort while ensuring that all relevant information is always up to date. The decision was made in favor of Docusnap, as the software enables agentless inventory management and automatically captures IT structures. Regular scans ensure that changes in the IT environment are reliably documented – a key prerequisite with regard to TISAX and other compliance requirements.
Implementation – Automated Inventory Management in Daily IT Operations
Docusnap has been in use at ABT Sportsline since summer 2025. The implementation was carried out in a structured manner and was accompanied by onboarding with experienced Docusnap experts. No customizations to the software were necessary. Shortly after implementation, the IT department had access to a central and up-to-date database that integrated seamlessly into existing daily IT operations. In day-to-day operations, Docusnap supports the IT department particularly where time-consuming research was previously required. Information about which user started which services or when a system last logged into the network is now available at any time.
“You hardly need to search manually or ask around anymore – a lot of information is now available at the push of a button,” describes Armin Peuker, highlighting the change in daily work.
Transparency, Audit Readiness, and Efficient IT Processes
Thanks to Docusnap, ABT Sportsline now has reliable and up-to-date documentation of its IT infrastructure. The IT department has become significantly more capable of taking action, as decisions can be made based on consistent and centrally available data. Connections within the IT landscape that were previously difficult or impossible to see are now traceable.
“Docusnap shows us things that you would never explicitly ask about – and that’s exactly what makes our work more efficient and more secure,” says Peuker.

In addition to the software itself, the collaboration with Docusnap’s support team is also viewed positively. The direct contact with a dedicated point of contact is perceived as competent and reliable. Updates run smoothly without disrupting ongoing operations, which has established Docusnap as a permanent supporting tool in daily IT work.

With Docusnap, ABT Sportsline was able to create the foundation for structured, revision-proof, and audit-ready IT documentation. The software supports the IT department in meeting the increasing demands in the area of information security while significantly reducing manual effort.
“Once you engage with your data and know what information you need, you can find everything with Docusnap – and a lot of things simply become easier,” summarizes Armin Peuker.
As part of the TISAX certification, up-to-date and reliable IT documentation was absolutely essential for us. With manual processes, meeting this requirement in daily IT operations was virtually impossible.
