Security gaps closed?

Docusnap365 shows which of them affect your systems, including legacy systems without an agent.

  • Only matches that affect software and versions actually installed are shown
  • You see which systems are affected, with severity according to CVSS
  • Including legacy systems and specialist software that no central patch management reaches

Vulnerabilities in Docusnap365

What a CVE match looks like

After a CVE is published, Docusnap365 matches it against the installed versions: you see which installations are affected, how urgent it is and when the deadline runs out.

How reliable the matching is

Three things determine how reliable the matching is in your environment.

What it is matched against

Known CVEs from publicly available vulnerability databases are run against the inventoried software, version by version.

A complement, not a replacement

Docusnap365 does not replace an active vulnerability scanner or penetration testing. It complements both, because the inventoried estate is the basis for matching, including on systems a scanner cannot reach.

How current the data is

That depends on your scan schedule: daily, weekly or at an interval of your own. Each inventory module can have its own schedule.

Docusnap365 does not patch. It shows where your tools need to step in.

As an IT manager, security is not a chore for me but a genuine passion. Only if you know your IT infrastructure completely can you protect it effectively.

Beyond vulnerabilities

What else you keep under control

Scanners, permission reports and asset lists otherwise sit in separate systems; connections only become visible during an incident.

Permissions

Docusnap365 resolves nested groups and inherited rights graphically. You see access that has built up over the years before it turns into an incident.

Risks and measures

You derive measures from the risk, assign them to an owner and track them through to the effectiveness review.

Emergency preparedness

Docusnap365 detects relationships between systems automatically; in an outage you see the downstream systems. The emergency manuals for this are created as controlled SmartDocs.

Frequently asked questions

Is vulnerability matching included in the trial?

Yes. The trial runs for 14 days with full functionality, and CVE matching is part of it.

What do I need to get started?

After registering, you install the Docusnap Enterprise Gateway in your network and start the first scan. No agents are needed on the endpoints.

Which systems does the scan cover?

More than 25 inventory modules capture IT systems, network components and software installations without agents and on a schedule.

Where is my data stored?

The scan results are transferred to the cloud CMDB. Docusnap365 is hosted in Europe, and operations are ISO 27001 certified.

What happens after the 14 days?

The trial ends automatically; there is no automatic renewal. Your data remains accessible.
